Emily’s primary fellowship role at the Maine Coastal Program is to oversee the Maine Coastal Mapping Initiative, an effort started in 2012 to collect hydrographic data that will be used to inform ocean planning for state waters. Emily is quoted in the article saying, “The most gratifying part of this work was seeing all of the pieces finally come together and having the crew conduct their first successful survey.”
