Joe Smith, Tridec’s Director of Human Resources and Programs helped plan and participated as a presenter for the Veterans Employment Preparation Workshop conducted on October 10, 2014 at the Clark State Community College Beavercreek campus. Sponsored by Miami Valley Human Resource Association, this workshop has been offered multiple times a year over the past several years but just the second time held at the Clark State facility. This workshop provides Veterans the opportunity to create an effective communication strategy, improve interviewing skills, develop a job search marketing plan, identify veteran support organizations and meet potential employers looking to hire Veterans. Lunch was provided by the Beavercreek VFW and attended by Beavercreek’s Mayor Brian Jarvis, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, who addressed the attendees during lunch.
